Chapter 18

6 weeks later.

“Yuck!” Saidy squealed, as she stood up removing her head from the toilet bowl. Walking over to the sink, she grabbed her toothbrush and cleaned her mouth. She was tired of the constant throwing up. Just about every food she ate and smell she came across made her sick to her stomach. It always resulted to her head ending up in the toilet.

“I can't believe I'm in this situation.” She said aloud. Cutting her eyes to the right, she looked at the positive pregnancy test that sat on the corner of the bathroom sink. It had been sitting there for a little over a week.

She didn't throw it away because apart of her was in denial. Each time she went into her bathroom, there sat her constant reminder that she needed to figure out what she was going to do.

She hadn't spoken to Quinn since the day he left. She would never forget how heartbroken she felt coming out of the shower and finding that he removed all of his things. The only thing he left, was his favorite piece of jewelry. Saidy was sure he hadn't left it on purpose. She couldn't deny that she was happy he had forgotten it, because it meant that she could keep a piece of him with her.

Hearing her phone ringing, she rushed out of the bathroom so that she wouldn't miss the call. She sped toward her phone and her heartbeat sped up as well. She knew Quinn wouldn't call yet, there was still hope that he would.

“Hello?” She answered, almost out of breath.

“What you doing hoe?” Lise yelled into the phone with excitement.

“Just came out of the bathroom. Still sick as hell.” She told her disappointed.

“Aww, my niece or nephew kicking your butt, huh?”

“I don't even want to talk about that.” She shook her head.

“I don't know why. In about 9 more months, we will be holding a bundle of joy.” Lise shrieked.

“Where's the joy in being a single parent?”

“I take that as you still haven't told Quinn? Why are you procrastinating?”

“I haven't talked to him. He made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with me when he removed all his shit.” Her stubborn nature was in full force as she spoke.

“Um, what was he supposed to do? You told his ass to leave.”

“Hell yeah I did after how he treated me; of course I told his ass to kick rocks. However, he did come out here to fight for our relationship, so I'm trying to figure out why he didn't stay and fight? He gave up too easily.” Sadness came over her as she spoke. Since the day he removed his things, she had wondered if that was the only reason he had come to her house that night. She wondered if he just came to get his things so that she wouldn’t fuck them up.

Even though she had threatened to do so, she doubted that she could even find it in her to stoop that low.
